Our History
The Story Behind Neuro-Free®
Every company has an origin story. Ours starts in a rodeo arena, takes a turn through orthopedic surgery suites, and arrives at a founder who became his own first patient. This is how Neuro-Free® came to be.

From the Arena to Medicine
Before he ever worked in medicine, founder and CEO Jory Scott spent ten years as a professional bullfighter, ranked among the top six in the nation, protecting riders across the Southeast and Midwest. It was a career built on one instinct: step in when someone needs protecting.
When the injuries piled up and the road wore thin, Jory turned toward medicine. He earned his way into the athletic training program at the University of Southern Mississippi, then the number one program in the country at the time. Of roughly 100 applicants, 56 were accepted. Four graduated. Jory was one of them, in a class that placed graduates in all three NFL jobs available that year.
From there came years in orthopedic implant and biologics sales, working alongside surgeons in operating rooms across the region. It was in those rooms, watching early regenerative medicine take shape, that Jory saw where the future was heading. He went all in on biologics before almost anyone else in the field. Jory Scott and his medical team are now recognized as world leaders in stem cell research, holding patents in more than 20 countries for an innovative method of producing stem cells and introducing them into the body.
Patient Number One
By late 2016, after years of research and testing, the first product was ready. Most researchers would have waited for someone else to take the first step. Jory chose to go first, becoming the first to undergo the treatment himself.
The reason was personal. A decade of bullfighting had left him with repeated concussions and scarring in the frontal lobe of his brain. Testing showed his word recall functioning at just 17 percent. He was experiencing severe breakdowns, pulling off the road two or three times a day, unable to stop thoughts he knew were not real. He had not told his wife. He had not told anyone.

"It hasn't happened since [the] first infusion. Not one more, not one bout of chronic depression or anything."
After years of dedicated research and with the invaluable support of leading doctors and researchers, the morning finally arrived for Jory to become the first person ever treated with the product.
The breakdowns never came back. Not once. Nearly a decade later, they still have not.
That morning shaped everything Neuro-Free® believes: if you are not willing to receive the treatment yourself, you have no business offering it to a child.

Learning What the Therapy Could Do
The first infusion patients were treated for arthritis, and the results were immediate. Work with diabetes patients followed, and it taught the team a lesson that still shapes treatment today: one infusion helps, but a series of infusions, spaced about a month apart, is where lasting change happens. That insight became the three infusion protocol used now.
Over nine years, the team behind this therapy has treated more than 1,000 patients across conditions including epilepsy, neuropathy, traumatic brain injury, and cardiovascular disease, completing over 2,700 infusions with no instances of safety concerns.
But of everything this therapy has touched, one group of families changed the company forever.
Finding Our Calling: Autism
Families of children with autism arrived having tried everything. Some had been out of the country multiple times. One family had spent over $125,000 abroad without seeing results. They told us they were just giving this a shot.
Then the phone calls started. A six year old who had spoken one word in her life was suddenly sitting in her mother's lap, calling her pretty. Teachers began asking parents what had changed, because their students were not the same children anymore.
In a state permitted study of 15 to 20 children, the team hoped 20 to 40 percent of families would report meaningful progress. Instead, based on parent feedback, 90 to 95 percent reported impressive results. Word traveled the way it always does in the autism community, parent to parent, in waiting rooms and group texts. Of the roughly 115 children with autism treated to date, around 80 came as referrals from those first families.
That is why Neuro-Free® exists today: a clinic devoted to children with autism, built on a patented therapy, guided by physicians, and carried forward by the families who experienced it first.
